Campsites & Tipis

Since 1961, the Tessier family has welcomed guests in campsites, cabins, and more recently in our authentic Sioux tipis. We are a family oriented campground dedicated to the “experience of camping in the great outdoors”. Most of our campers arrive with special childhood memories of days long ago, summer vacations spent with family – old fashioned fun. We strive to help create new memories with your families – catching fireflies in a jar, sleeping outdoors, the nostalgic ambiance of a real wood fire, bird watching, swimming, fishing, and relaxing to the sounds of nature. At Sippewissett, you’ll find a variety of campsites equipped to accommodate tents, pop-ups, trailers, vans and recreational vehicles up to 36 ft. in length. The campsites and tipis are nestled in a natural, wooded Cape Cod setting with abundant shade trees. Gentle slopes tastefully enhance the peace and privacy of your stay. Sparkling clean comfort stations are equipped with non-metered hot showers. Enjoy the nostalgic ambiance of cooking over your very own campfire. We also have seasonal campsites currently available. If you enjoy camping with us, why not make Sippewissett your campground of choice throughout the season? Sorry, no dogs allowed during prime season.

Our Seasonal Community

Sippewissett Campground has a small seasonal camping community. Trailers up to 38' are tastefully nestled amongst the Oaks, Pines and Maples. We have 2 seasonal areas, but we are small enough that campers from both areas get to know each other and have created a close knit community. Some daily sites are interspersed in our seasonal section, so you have the opportunity to meet campers from all over the world. Better yet, the opportunity exists for relatives and friends to spend a day or weekend camping near you during the summer. However, if privacy is what you are looking for, there is no requirement to join the gang – do your own thing!

The Closest Campground to the Ferries to the Island of Martha’s Vineyard!

There is something for all ages to enjoy in Falmouth and throughout the Cape & Islands. Falmouth is home to 10 Warm (72°) water beaches (including 2 public windsurfing beaches) – making it the perfect place for those who love the sea. Along with a variety of nearby sporting activities such as golf, tennis, fishing & boating, Sippewissett Campground is located directly at the mid-point of the Shining Sea Bikeway. The Bikeway is a paved, 11.5-mile adventurous pathway that winds across an ancient coastal plain, along the shoreline of Vineyard Sound, through salt marshes, along beaches, cranberry bogs and through the Salt Pond Bird Sanctuary. There is simply no more convenient point of access to this outstanding recreational resource than your campsite at Sippewissett.
Martha’s Vineyard is the third largest island on the East Coast of the United States, offering activities for young and old. Sippewissett is the closest campground to the Martha’s Vineyard ferries. We offer free shuttle service to the ferry terminals, once daily.
